Description:
Australian Magpie ≠===============≠ These two young Magpies are close to fledging. I’ve named them “Rain” and “Wind”
Their mother’s dedication through weeks of constant high winds and pelting rain has been worth it. Almost every day has been one of vicious storms, and I often walked by wondering if she would still be sitting. I think one of the reasons for the success is the very deep nest she constructed.
One of her sisters in a nearby street had her chick blown out of the nest well before fledging time and I’ve not seen it since.
